Blank Screens when launching the ConfigUtil Demo Scene

Hey All,

Have a couple machines that are now below the announced recommended specs (e.g. GTX 460 - capable of dx11) and when running the 0.6.0 Runtime and trying to launch the Demo Scene the window appears blank on the machine. Granted these desktops are below the recently announced recommended specs, however they used to be able to run the Demo Scene without an issue. In the 0.6.0 release does the Oculus rendering pipeline exclusively require DirectX 11.1+ support or is this issue stemming from something else?

    I appear to be getting the same or something similar to this issue too. No demo scene and random issues with UE4 when trying to build apps.

    I'm using a 580 GTX which has been fine up until now. I can get VR working some of the time with UE4, but it's dependant on which version of the UE4 engine I use to build and package my app. When I do get things working I'm getting weird issues with framerate drops in packaged projects vs VR preview in UE4 which runs at a steady 75fps.

The link provides some more details on my system setup and what combination of UE4 and Oculus runtime versions I've tried and under what circumstances I can get things working.

    Also I just rolled back by one version on my Nvidia driver to 347.88 on the off chance that this would help - no change. Going to roll back to 0.5.0-beta of the runtime and see if I get the demo scene back. Will report back here when done.

    Can confirm. Reverting to 0.5.0-beta brings back the demo scene.

    @robeastham : Can you remove the old runtime, install the latest 0.6.0.0 and then upload the logs from here:

    Okay reinstalled 0.6.0 and confirmed no demo scene again. Have PMd you with a link to a set of log files.

    Am guessing this is a pre Nvidia 600 card series issue given that the other guy who experienced this issue had a 400 series card. Let me know how you get on. I my guess is right, and no fix is imminent, then it would finally give me the excuse to give up on this very noisy 580 GTX and upgrade to a 900 series :-)
