Would suggest HTC is treading water or sinking

What will happen to the Vive?

That would be interesting. I heard that Asustek were interested in buying them.

Vive would be delayed. Valve will look for another partner.

Valve won't buy HTC. Why would they?

I'd imagine Steam would've looked at a partner's books before going into a partnership like the Vive?

Maybe Vive is a separate entity to HTC mobile?

Corporate 'groups' have a way to separate interests within the group so that they are financially protected or to isolate legal liability from spreading to other parts of an organisational group.

I found the post interesting, anyway.

VIVE might be the life preserver HTC needs. Eventually. I doubt they would give that up without a really big buyout.
