I recall some people here talking about adding this feature, but I don't think it was made.

However, thanks for your feedback and I'll be sure to share with the team.

I do like the convenience of being able to re-download something if you wanna give it a go, but it does junk up the library. Maybe a future update could divide the library into sections like games, apps, experiences, and uninstalled. Just an idea.

It is pretty annoying to have demo versions of games I bought still in my library in particular.

This really should be fixed soon as it is really annoying...
I mean what the hell did the think when they implemented it this way? :?
It's called "My library" - i don't put dummy books in my shelf's if i get rid of one of them..
    ...why so serious?

I totally agree - my virtual library would not be this messy - if phones did this there would be massive complaining
  • Im new to this VR thing. I just got the gear vr a few days ago. The oculus store is very disappointing. No uswr reviews, no filters (free, paid, most liked, ect) and the longering apps you deleted clogging up your library.

Im just a wife that likes to play on her phone to de-stress. My Husband got me the gear vr and so far half my time on it has been spent looking for what I wanted due to no filters, wishing i could read (and post) some reveiws to the store ratings system and waiting for my phone or gear to cool down so i can play gor 2 mins straight.

I would be convenced to spend $10 for an app if I could read others reveiws first. I have purchased a few of the $5 and under games because i figure the risk of not liking it is worth the low price to mess around and try it out.

Right now im starting to think there is a reason they dont let us post reveiws. They dont want us to be able to easily warn eachother about a game. I had to join a forum to post about my overheating issues with twisted realms not allowing me to finish even 1 level before it overheats.

Just sharing my personal experience, if you use it in a room with air conditioning and/or a fan running you shouldn't have overheating issues. I have only encountered an overheating message twice in three months and both times it was with no access to ceiling fan or a/c.

I live in Germany. Air conditioning and fans are very rare in private households here. ;)

I get an overheating message after like 20 minutes if its say 23 degrees celsius in the room. Thats 73,4 Fahrenheit.
And thats 20 minutes gaming, not 20 minutes movie watching.

Of course, I get it very rare (like 4 times in half a year). But thats because I most of the time only use it 10 minutes in a row, before I get bored and put it down.

Thats why I dont even need my fan setup, wich I have build (and tested at 35 degrees celcius for 1 hour. No overheating during that time)
I never thought I'd be so happy to be back here in my own virtual skin.

Gotcha. Also, we need the ability to uninstall apps within Oculus Home with the headset on.

I just got my first Gear VR on Friday. After one weekend, I'm already at the point where I'm afraid to install any more demo, promotional, or "experience" type apps now that I know that I will never be able to get them out of my library. From here on out, I'm going to be very selected on which apps are purchased or installed.

You hear this Oculus: you are killing your own business model by throwing uninstalled apps into the gallery view.
  • I thought I missed something when the stuff that I have uninstalled are still in my library. Looks like it's something that is faced by everybody. Please add this feature.

At the very least give us an installed filter and make that the default library view.

This is ridiculous, what if in the future oculus have a VR *cough* app and we, simple, clean, and well behaved users, were to unlucky, accidentally, completely unintentionally, not willingly, mis-clicked and purchase it. and this app will be stuck in out library forever!!! :?

Any fix yet? Really keeps the library full of unwanted titles.

Hi, any updates on this yet please? We really need separate categories, especially for new content - same as you find on the store app when not using the headset.

The Oculus store feels like it's still in beta.

Right click on game in library gives "Uninstall" option.

I appreciate the ability to re-install previously-purchased titles, but there absolutely needs to be some way to get uninstalled titles out of the launcher. The obvious way to do this would be to simply not include uninstalled titles in the launcher view, but leave them under the "Not Installed" tab in the 2d Oculus store where they already are. A great bonus feature would be to add a "Remove" button next to the "Install" button in this tab, at least on free titles.

Ok..what am I missing?  I go to Library and it only shows the apps that i have installed.  Did I somehow crack this case without knowing it?

There is a "Include not installed" option in the "Filter" drop down list ("Filter" is in the top right corner of the window when the "Apps" tab is active).

Personally I prefer to have a "Include uninstalled" option instead.

Still can't do this then, that's insane. Of course, this is a Facebook company which basically means a walled garden and they've got your data forever. Which they will presumably share with everyone!

There is a "Not Installed" filter on the top right side of the Library page in the Oculus app.
