Oculus developer program

Maybe there was topic like that but I could find so I'm asking here.

Is there some Oculus developer program we can apply to get support and devkits prior official release ?

Surely we've ordered CV1 but it will take time to ship and arrive.

We can use DK2 for now but it would not give us accurate performance and visual representation what game will look like on CV1.

Thanks all in advance.

As I understand it they were only giving CV1's to developers who were going to have games ready for launch.

It's like chicken and egg situation. Without CV1 you cannot be sure to make game in time and optimize it, and vise versa.

Does anyone know what is needed to apply ?

We got HTC Vive Pre for example and migrating now our applications on SteamVR (Which support Oculus as well and I think that's really great for developers!)

Not really, DK2 is quite capable of being used as a development tool, and they started offering CV1s to developers of launch titles in I think January, which is plenty of time to deal with any of the tiny adjustments that might be needed for the final device. By two months before launch most developers would know if their app was going to be ready in time or not.
