After attempting multiple times i can not seem to uninstall my old oculus runtime 0.8, or at the least that is what the installer is saying when i try to update to 1.3. I have gone through and manually removed every bit of my old oculus data. After restarting multiple times and trying to find any additional files it still gives me the error of the old runtime needs to be uninstalled. My main issue that i have is when I ran the uninstaller, while it was still on the computer, it gave me the admin popup window and then would never actually do anything after that. That is why i decided on the manual removal of the runtime, but with no avail i have become hopeless.
Any ideas on what else i could do?
Ive been able to remove it from the programs list, removed it from the following folders also:\ program files program file x64 appdata temp system microsoft and another of other places and old setup data.
Please help.
im on the DK2, and it is not plugged in while i did all of this neither is the tracker.
Ive done that to, im thinking a clean install may be needed, I have been very thorough. I am an Apple/PC repair specialist. Do you think it might have to do with installing a new graphics card. Maybe it is seeing the old runtime in a drivers folder from my old GPU? I dunno, before I reinstall and keep the files any other ideas?
