Unplug Oculus Rift BEFORE Updating!

Well, I got off last night from rifting, and shut down my PC (as I do every night), and windows had updates to install. Usually this wouldn't be a problem but when I got on the next day I started up my computer and it resulted in a blank screen. After much trial and error and troubleshooting, I turned on my Rift DevKit and untwisted the lenses and the windows help center (or w/e) wanted to run a system recovery. After a bit of time it resulted in telling me that I needed to unplug any recently usb inserted devices (cameras, flashdr, etc.). All I had plugged into my motherboard was my monitor, my mouse, keyboard, and the Oculus Rift. Of course after removing the Rift, it worked fine, but I thought I should probably post this before anyone else has this problem. Sorry if this has been reported before. I have Windows x64.

That's Windows for you.

It will pipe to what it thinks is the primary display when there's an error on restart.

Depending on the graphics card, it hits VGA>DVI>HDMI.

For those playing at home and in the audience, what card are you using and ports were your Rift and display set up on?
