How do you check fps while in the rift?

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if there is an easy way to check fps while in the rift. (CV1)

Basicly while playing farlands I noticed you can bump up the gfx settings to 'high' but I have no idea how much this is impacting performance. Since I'm using an overclocked i5 and 970 I just want to make sure I'm not pushing it to use ATW too much. Also it would be great to know what fps I'm getting on different games.

I normally use the tool built into Nvidia GeForce Experience but I can't use that in VR.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Use the oculus debug tool. It shows a display inside the headset.
Cant remember where it is or what to do so just google 'oculus debug tool'

Yup, that's what I use, lots of other nice options too.  The SDK method puts it on the screen and gets in the way, so not really a full time solution.

Although I do use afterburner more for monitoring the debug tool will show you your performance head room. As in how close you're getting to dropping below 90fps and into ASW territory.

Cool, thanks! I did try afterburner but could not see the FPS in VR (i'd really like to see the FPS in realtime), only on my screen. I will try the SDK.
