Will the Oculus Rift run smoothly on my PC?

Hi!
I've recently ordered the Oculus Rift estimated to ship in August, and I'm wondering whether my PC is ready or not. I downloaded the test from the website and it told me my CPU was too weak, however the SteamVR test (which is for HTC Vive) it told me my PC performed "Well above what is needed for VR". Here are my specs:

CPU: i5 4460
GPU: 980ti
Ram: 8GB

I'm pretty sure the RAM and GPU are good enough, but im unsure about the CPU. Does anyone have experience with Oculus Rift on a i5 4460?
Thanks in advance.

I think you're going to be fine. The oculus home might say that you're cpu is not supported or something but the difference between your cpu and the recommended cpu is very small according to this link: http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-4590-vs-Intel-Core-i5-4460

I'm as sure as I can be that your pc will do fine. However I don't have that cpu myself.

Ok, thanks for your answer. I'll have to wait and see, but hopefully it will work then 🙂
