Shame single player is pretty much non existent though, I'd have preferred a good single player campaign/story.

This is a fair complaint that I would agree with. I love it when a strong multi-player game has a great single-player story/campaign. I started playing through StarCraft 2 again recently, and the single-player campaign is just so damn epic. I can fully enjoy the product without being forced to take my act online.

Starcraft 2 campaign is so good, as is the online mulitplayer. It's good to have choice.

I think we should use unspoken to settle all forum debates! :p

Nice extra quote from UploadVR on reddit:

"There is a lot of skill ramp in this game too. Joe had been playing for a few days when I logged on to play last night with him and I got consistently smoked. You really can build strategies and counter strategies that give you the upper edge. Definitely a title that's easy to pick up, difficult to master."

I'd love to see Atmos and Zenbane scrap it out.   B)

Agreed. And a great way to assimilate Vivarians in to the world of Oculus.

I plan to play this game in the nude, btw. Just me?

I'm pretty sure he would win 9/10 of the battles. Mostly because he would be practicing those strategies way more than me, driven by sheer hatred. I, on the other hand, would talk up a big game just to force him to keep battling me... cause I love the idea that the forums most dedicated Vivarian would be playing an Oculus title over and over over, just for me!

I know Revive exists but will it be even possible to play Unspoken on the Vive?it seems like you need to do some finger gestures to do your spells....Which I don't think is possible on the Vive...

Are the finger gestures that intricate, or do they just involve putting your hands together in a way that would lead to Vivemotes smashing into each other / the player's face?

Maybe Insomniac will take pity on them and patch in a special class that operates via semaphore instead of hand-gesture?   They could summon in laser-shooting Vive lighthouses, tangle the opponent in cords, and rain shovelware from the sky to bury them.   However, their magics are limited to demo-length, so if the match isn't over in 15 minutes they automatically forfeit.

Well as long as he isn't filming it and making some kind of mixed reality video   :fearful:

Actually, maybe he's on to something;  That could be the link between Mixed Reality VR and VR Porn!

yes i was also disappointed with the lack of single player I was expecting a bit of a campaign or at least some AI bots. Ripcurl is the same really lots of fun that game but its only multi player. Infact most of the good games seem to be multi player only.

I don't mind multiplayer only as long as there's a good tutorial before hand, not a fan of making an ass of myself even if it's just a game I like to know what's what before I jump in, does look like crazy fun tho, I mean whats not to like about shooting fireballs from your hands

Don't worry about making an ass out of yourself. everyone is so busy they aren't going to think twice about a player that's a newbe.  Everyone starts out as a newbe

I'm pretty excited for the approach they took with this game.  When I first saw a teaser trailer it looked cool but I imagined it would get boring after a while lobbing fireballs at each other.  From what I'm reading it sounds like they give you a lot of stuff to do to keep you busy and make it feel like you are doing stuff.  Can't wait to try this out.  Hopefully Touch will be waiting for me at home today.

I started playing The Unspoken last night, it is awesome. High quality production values, and the simple gameplay still makes for a pretty in-depth game (and I've only played the first of the classes). Some of the bits seem kinda gimmicky at first (motion based minigames, like folding an airplane or assembling a figurine), but the time and effort it takes to activate them is good for balancing out how powerful those attacks are.

I too wish there was a little bit more to single-player. There is a tutorial, and a "bot" for practice rounds, but there doesn't seem to be any difficulty settings for him, after a bit you just have to jump into ranked play and get your ass handed to you until you start to figure out some tactics.

:( I tried the game myself. Looks nice, but I only tried it once. I am not a big fan of player vs player scenarios. I do wish here was a good single player campaign.
