One of my favorite "live show" bands is Korn. Especially with their earlier work.
I'm sure most people of heard some of their greats, so the only thing I will share is my favorite YouTube vid when it comes to live metal performances. Just watch the first few minutes to get the full feel of how Korn can really own a massive crowd. I've seen them live twice and they have a magical ability to draw everyone in and create some badass energy.
Just watch up to the 2:30 mark to see them captivate an audience of thousands. Good stuff!

Man, Elfen Lied was a crazy anime. I remember watching it years ago, that opening scene is sick. The funny thing is, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I had just went to an anime shop (when I was living in New York City, where there was such thing as a shop that sold only anime) and asked the clerk to recommend something. Dude gave me the Elfen Lied DVD set and told me it was something different and he thought I would like it. Damn.
OMG, Elfen Lied was my first anime too the song in the opening still ring in my ears. It was wierd, but it was good.
since we are on orchestra vibes, this song give me goosebumps everytime I hear it. I know it's religious (I am an agnostic) but I don't care.
Hell I feel like:
I suck dick in Onward...
O look, I am merging my thoughts into one post . How cool is that? you tought me something... I dig Korn, damn why can't I just listen to one genre? anyway, somebody remember this gem?
That reminded me of Suicide Silence. RIP their frontman, but they were badass. I was able to see them live once,
that's not too shabby. When it comes to my heavy metal I'm a more melodic type. which is why I gravitate towards metal bands like In Flames. also this is a good tune too
I'm pretty picky when it comes to my music. I don't tend to gravitate towards genres as a whole but specific groups and artists.
but then you hear me switch it up to some Volbeat!
EDIT: I just read up on Suicide Silence front man, tragic way to go. I had a cousin who died from a motorbike accident, he was 18.

This song from Parasitic Inc. is badass! Never heard it before, but I love it.
That takes me back to classic Death, and the legendary Chuck Schuldiner. Another RIP musician, who I did get to see live once as well.
I remember spending weeks trying to figure out the riffs for Vacant Planets as a youngen:
Another thing I liked about Parasitic Inc. is the use of harmonic "death" vocals. Which of course, few do as morbid and twisted as Deicide:
That's about as evil as it gets lmao. That multi-voiced Chorus at 2:00 is epic.

I could never really get down with metal due to the abrasive lyrics, but the music is alright. Though the stuff that is more melodic or a mix of electronica is better for me. Here is some stuff I've gotten into recently.
You boys ever met a real country girl? Talkin, true blue, out in the woods, down home, country
She's a hot little number in her pick-up truck Daddy's sweet money done jacked it up She's a party-all-nighter from South Carolina, a bad mamajama from down in Alabama She's a ragin cajun, a lunatic from Brunswick, juicy Georgia peach With a thick southern drawl, sexy swingin walk, brother she's all
Country, (shoot) from her cowboy boots to her down home roots She's country, from the songs she plays to the prayers she prays, That's the way she was born and raised, she ain't afraid to stay, country Brother she's country
A hell raisin sugar when the sun goes down, mama taught her how to rip up a town Honey dripping honey from the holler in Kentucky, getcha flippin kinda trippie like a Mississippi hippie, She's a Kansas princess, crazy mother trucker, undercover lover Thick southern drawl, sexy swingin walk, Brother she's all
Country (shoot) from her cowboy boots to her down home roots She's country, from the songs she plays to the prayers she prays, That's the way she was born and raised, she ain't afraid to stay, country Nothin but country
(Thick southern drawl) (Sexy swingin walk) (Aw show 'em how a country girl does it one time now)
Brother she's country, from her cowboy boots to her down home roots Nothin but country Yea yea yeaaa She's country (shoot) from her cowboy boots to her down home roots She's country, from the songs she plays to the prayers she prays, That's the way she was born and raised she ain't afraid to stay, country Yea she's nothing but country

I love the hell outta them. And after many long years they finally released a new album:
I first heard them in 1989 and would listen to their "The Real Thing" album repeatedly while playing the very first Final Fantasy game on the NES:
I think Mike Patton may be my favorite male vocalist in my lifetime. His creative range as a musician and singer is practically supernatural, and unrivaled. Plus he's a madman:

I can't figure out if you're joking @BlastaMasta, but it's not really funny. You're probably being sarcastic, but it's hard to tell over text on a forum, so maybe try to cool off. Thanks.
@Zenbane Big FNM fan here - haven't heard the latest album yet though. Reading your recent posts I noticed you mentioning Chuck Schuldiner - dang I've put death metal behind me more than a decade ago, but I used to love his band Death. RIP indeed - he was very talented.
I don't know if you like instrumental music, but Ben Sharp's Cloudkicker act is pretty diverse and well.. good! I'm not so fond of his early stuff, which I find too mechanical/industrial, but everything from Beacons and onward is excellent imo.
That song We're goin' in. We're going down. is pretty damn fantastic.
I absolutely do love instrumentals. When I was just a youngling learning to play the guitar, I started off with Instrumentals. I have a fairly decent college of Guitar Tab publications, most by Cherry Lane Music. Including the tab for the entire "The Real Thing" album by Faith No More.
In fact, the first ever published instrumental I learned to play on the guitar - start to finish, without error - was Woodpecker From Mars by FNM:
I was 14 years old at the time. And just for funsies, I took a picture of my original tablature publication for this album, which I've kept since 1990:
After that, I graduated to mastering instrumentals from Metallica: Call of Ktulu, Orion, To Live is To Die.
Probably my biggest accomplishment was learning "For the Love of God" by Steve Vai,
I think it took me about 2 years of practice, off and on, to get through that song start to finish. I retired from learning hard shit after that lol
Yeah you got every guy in here Spinnin' around spillin' their beer. I bet you came out to have a good time So what you say you leave your friends with mine? Ooh, ooh, they'll be alright, ooh, I just wanna see you shine.
Girl you're tearin' that dance floor up Let me see you do it in the bed of my truck You sure know how to shake it alright Let me see you do it in the Tennessee moonlight Woah, baby lets go down a little road nobody else knows Just me and you park on the edge of the world That's how I wanna see you girl.
Yeah, let me see you girl.
Whatcha think about takin' that chance. Takin' that ride, takin' my hand. Kickin' this crowd, ditchin' this club This nights been waitin' on us.
Ooh, ooh, lets see your best moves, ooh, ooh Yeah till…

Yes I am drunk and I find this music box so relaxing...
This is by far the best anime (music inspired) I've seen. Don't be afraid, it is just a diffrent medium, and the music! oh my god it is so beautifull.
Watch this series, if you don't cry by the end you are heartless.
