I just bought three USB 3.0 cables, 15 foot extensions for the cameras so I can put them on the corners of my room and set up proper roomscale tracking (I'm still waiting on the third sensor which from other posts I can see is likely lost to the abyss that is 'excessive demand').
I plugged in the extensions for the cables, aaaaand... my rift starts completely bugging, the computer dropping connection to it intermittently (showing no HDMI cable connected), and the sensors going in and out of connection. This also causes my computer to stop responding, and caused a blue screen once. I'm only running the two sensors, the rift, keyboard and mouse, and XBONE dongle off of my USB hub, works fine when using no extensions.
Cables were all tested for continuity and function using a USB 2.0 device, showed no errors. Does anyone have any suggestions on what could be causing this? Is the cable length overtaxing the USB hub or is there something I'm missing?
