NVIDIA Upgrade Incompatible

Kai60

I used the compact check and it said I needed to upgrade my NVIDIA driver. I followed the links up to the point where it says "NVIDIA installer cannot continue" and it's not compatible with my current version of Windows and could not find compatible graphics hardware.
What should I do?

You don't have to pay, but you will have to figure out how to install the Nvidia driver at least.

You just need to install the latest Nvidia driver. I don't know why it wouldn't work. Try this download.

What video card do you have? Maybe it is really old.

That should be supported. Try to make sure your Windows Update is fully updated. You can also try upgrading to Windows 10.

I'm not sure I understand. Would I still be able to play on the Oculus without the upgrade, or will I have to find a way to upgrade it?
My Windows is fully updated.
Paying for Windows 10 should be considered a Last Resort for me.

Weird, last time I heard about Windows 10, I had to pay to upgrade. I'll upgrade and try installing it again, then let you know how it goes. Thanks.

You're not using a laptop are you?  If so, are you sure the card is not a GTX 960m card?  If that is what's in there, the M series are not supported,

I'm not exactly sure what this is trying to say but no, there's no M. Does this mean i'm fine to play without the upgrade or should I upgrade to windows 10, then upgrade the driver, just to be sure? And yes, i'm confused overall.
