OBS Studio black preview since 1.15

Cross post from /Oculus, but could really so with some help!

My Home upgraded to 1.15 last night, and now I can't get any window capture recording to work in OBS Studio.

I've upgraded OBS, graphics drivers, rebooted, tried game that I know have worked, games that I've never tried, Oculus & SteamVR games, and the OculusMirror and nothing is working.

I saw in the Oculus forums someone had the issue in the 1.15 beta but there didn't seem to be any follow up to it.

Anyone else come across this and more importantly anyone found a fix?

The SteamVR output mirror works so that's something, but most of the things I record are through Oculus. Display capture works but isn't suitable for all games as some don't fullscreen, like Wilson's Heart

Display capture doesn't record full screen VR applications either, again this applies to the game or Oculus Mirror outputs.

Has anyone found a solution for this issue? I can work around it by using window capture in OBS, but it seems to use more resources and not give as smooth a capture as previously when just capturing the game exe window? This is quite annoying, as everything worked perfectly prior to the 1.15 update. Please tell us someone is working on this, many people rely on this software, myself included to produce content to the betterment of the Oculus platform!!!

    Cheers AussieStig

Our solution was to replace Oculus with steamVR in our Unity project. The other solutions (window mode, full screen...) didn't work for our mixed reality game. But we are waiting for an update from OBS or Oculus, because the FPS was better before this change.

Just heard back from Oculus. They said their engineering team is working with OBS to resolve it and all they can suggest at the moment is to keep an eye out for an update on Oculus Home or OBS Studio.

Not ideal but at least they've acknowledged it and are working on it.
