Resolving these issues wouldn't be that big of an issue if the damn thing wouldn't need to re-download the entire 1.5GB installation (> 1 hour on my internet) EVERY-SINGLE-TIME. The files are right there in the download cache! All of them! Do a checksum and reuse them, how hard is it!?
I tried manually "installing" it, by installing the 3 drivers (installed successfully), moving all the downloaded modules to the Oculus Support Folder and installing the runtime with the -install -start console command (did an -uninstall beforehand). The VR Runtime installs and runs just fine, but trying to run the Server exe afterward does run it for a second, no error is shown in the console but it hangs and crashes. Running the client gives me a "cannot contact oculus runtime" error.
Is my issue the same type of issue? Is there a more specific fix. I am within a school and we cannot simply disable the security settings on the network so readily.
