Is GearVR your first VR experience?

I went through a long list of devices before I got my GearVR. Mainly because I use an iPhone and had to buy a used S7 to experience the new (2017) GearVR.

Curious to hear from other GearVR heads in this forum... What was your first VR experience?

Actually just jumped on the DK2 near release 😉
A PC with lots of gadgets inside and a thing to see in 3D that you put on your head.

I plan on getting the Rift at some point. Don't think I'll buy another mobile vr headset. GearVR is all I need for mobility. Looking forward to a wireless Rift someday.

Yep, GEARVR. Came with my phone.  Glad I got it. Wish I had more free time to play on it.

Yeah, GearVR was my first ownership introduction into VR, I did try VR over a decade ago in some big arcade in Toronto using the game SiN Episodes...

Anyway, after getting the GearVR, I bought the PSVR, enjoyed it very much but firmly believe there was more to it with PC, glad I made the bold move to buy a Rift.

Got a GearVr because My system did not meet The Rift specs.  After a few months, I need more to do in VR.
I bought a VR system and have not used my BearVr in sometime.

Dk1 was my first then I tried the HD Prototype, DK2 and then I tried the dev version of the Note 4 Gear VR and it still blew me away knowing it was all running on a phone 🙂

My first jump into VR was in the early 00's at Six Flags Great Adventure.  I am not certain as to which tech they were using at the time.  But there was a video game setup where (I think) up to 4 people could each connect to a headset and the game had something to do with knights and a maze.  I don't recall how good it was at the time, but was fun for the time period.
