Interesting new tech from Samsung at CES 2014, a curved UHD tv.

This could lead to a minuture curved UHD for VR in the future perhaps?

The announcement is coupled with an epic fail from Michael Bay who trips over his tele prompter, chokes and then walks off stage to a golf clap applause.

Curved TV's = pure marketing gag without any real benefits.

When I was little, televisions were curved in the opposite way...

If im honest I pretty much just wanted to shame Michael Bay.

Curved TVs in the home have pretty much no use unless one person sits really close to it to get some sort of wrap around effect. Most living rooms have the TV viewed from many angles and a curved TV would be prohibitive to most people.

A curved display in a HMD, well now that's a different thing entirely :)

Why you wanted to shame Mr. Bay? Is it because he had the arrogance to walk just off the stage what in the end made all even worse.
  • just watching that gives me an anxiety attack!
