How can I hide videos from Oculus Video browsing screen?

Hello, world of Oculus forums!

My phone has almost a hundred short video clips that I have no interest whatsoever to watch on the Oculus Video app, yet they show up and slows down browsing all videos. Is there any way to hide videos in a specific folder so they won't show up on Oculus Video?

At least, according to Oculus support, "There is currently no way to hide videos in a folder so they will not show up in Oculus video."

I've been using the Samsung VR app, which is better / faster to browse local media (it can display files by folder), and also has better playback controls (e.g., you can play the previous or next video without going back to the list of videos), but the performance of the Oculus Video app seems to be better (at least on my good old Note 4, Oculus Video playback doesn't stutter).

Does anyone know of another Gear VR media player that performs better than the Samsung VR (or as good as the Oculus Video)?

    Thanks!
