Without going into too many details I just got discharged from A&E and whilst I was waiting in recovery and when the Docs were doing their thing. I wondered about the Oculus GO. I was tempted to get my missus to bring mine but luckily I didn't have to wait long. That said, in this scenario having a GO would have been fantastic as I waited in the room there was a lot of disturbing noises coming from other rooms. It would have been nice to just shut that all out without having to disturb other patients in the process. Perhaps this is something that could be introduced on the Wards, where rather than a communal TV set, each bed has a GO for people to use (obviously with wipe-able aftermarket face foam and somehow attached to the bed/wall to prevent being stolen). Perhaps this could aid some people in recovery or better yet, take their minds off what the DOCs are doing. It might also come in handy when you have a number of unwanted visitors, you could just shut them out.
