I have an idea I think you guys will like. I am not a developer, but I want to see this built.
Imagine a roller coaster that knew how it was oriented, it's speed, it's location, where you're head was inside of it, and what you're looking at. On top of that, image you had an Oculus strapped to your head. BAM! you have a ridiculously immersive experience with the freedom to fly through space, through underwater caves, etc. and not just see it, but FEEL it.
Okay, so a roller coaster built around the Oculus might be a little ridiculous to ask for. So, how about this. Use a car (say a Toyota Tundra) and the new Crystal Cove Prototype (with the camera in the head rest). Car speed could come from an ODB reader (like Automatic), vehicle orientation could come from a gyro, and vehicle location could come from a GPS. The Crystal Cove will take care of head location and orientation relative to the car. Then, build me something cool.
Okay, so a car might not be fun enough. So, how about a go kart track.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I'd be happy to help.
