Well Zuckerberg just met with President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, so some BBC news should be popping up shortly!

Good video - I can't wait to finally get my hands on one this year. I am torn between the 32 and the 64 - I already have a Rift and the Go I am thinking of for just a couple of experiences, mostly Netflix. I think the 32gb will be good enough for that.

I have started to see people wearing VR headsets in a couple of commercials the last little while - one was a car commercial if I recall correctly. Just lifestyle stuff - like VR is something that exists now, and people use it.

I think we are still a couple years out from mass adoption - but I don't see it going away, it has already made a big enough impact to have major developers on board with ports. I remain optimistic about VR going forward.

32GB is enough for Rift Owners imo.

But 64GB helps with the "futureproof" concept. I like the extra download freedom I have with my 64GB. But either will do for most situations.

Yeah the 64gb is reasonable price-wise which is what is getting me - I know that I am going to still get more use out of the Rift. I just want something that I can take out and about with me - to show VR to friends / co-workers and to just watch TV shows while I am out and about.

I am probably sticking with a 32gb when I do get it though - likely around Christmas time.

Another thing to consider about the higher version is if you're going to use it for family and friends. I know I use mine more for others than myself, and the extra storage space helps since you will be downloading titles for more than just you.

Then again, we can off-load storage so that's not really an issue either in the end.

Definitely something to consider - as I do plan on using it to introduce VR to other people. I am a very forward thinking person and computer literate - so I took to VR very quickly when I first tried cardboard 2 or 3 years ago now, and I knew that even though the device I was looking at was limited that the Rift / Vive would be capable of the experiences I really wanted out of VR.

But I really do not like Google Cardboard - it is full of cheesy apps, and setting up your phone to demo it to other people is just a mess really. So the Go is really appealing from that point of view - I feel that as a fairly early adopter in a new technology that I find to be a game changer it is incumbent on me and other VR users to help promote this tech so that it doesn't die off.

I think Facebook know this too - it is still really early days for the Go, and I think most people who have bought them are people who were already invested in VR or already interested in it. As it gets shown around at work sites and schools - more people will want to buy in. The fact that it is fairly easy to setup and use is a big selling point - and I work with a few people who are a generation older than myself and aren't gamers but they are very interested in VR based on what I have told them about specifically Big Screen.

A $200 purchase for a high quality VR theater experience is a really big deal - and if people like that are able to try it first, I guarantee I could sell it in a heartbeat.
