this has to be one of the most incredible DIY projects i have ever seen.

I would need 2 however one for flight and one for racing (because you dont wanna be faffing around swapping bits out ;) )

Fiat Coupe, gone. 350Z gone. Dirty nappies, no sleep & practical transport incoming. Thank goodness for VR :)

    Awesome, I want one!!! :D

I'm really hoping that the Yaw VR guys can get the price of the Yaw VR motion simulator down a fair bit more because currently it's out of my price range unfortunately!

Will the MkVI be a spherical cage and a racing harness on the seat?  (I hope he's not reading this, I'd hate to be blamed for putting ideas in his head  )

i think i read he hopes to encourage people to get interested in building these sorts of things so it would not surprise me once he is done.
it is beyond me however.  i found it enough of a challenge to make my arcade machine, and will be at my limits on my next project, a digital pinball table.

when that guy made is several leagues above anything i would attempt.

I'd have more than enough trouble just cutting those metal pieces for the base lmfao :o :D

You can usually buy the metal bars and bring it to a machine shop.
If its just straight cuts they wouldnt charge you that much to cut where you marked.

That would just leave you with the need of a drill press which are not that expensive.

Its about cash . If you are prepared to pay someone will do it. The problem is the time.

It took that chap 180 hrs to build it. Even at £15 an HR that is a lot of wedge. These things I think need to be a hobbyest DIY job or just buy ready made one.
Hell my arcade which is basically a super simple design of a pc in a box with ipac circuit board for the controls took 4 days 8hrs a day for 2 people.

You can buy ready made units now far tidier for a cost that you just can't match paying someone

(For the record my mate is selling his arcade £300 sans pc or £400 if you want the full gubbins pc included which is a stupidly cheap deal). I am almost tempted to buy myself and have 2. Anyone in Newmarket UK / with a van to pick up let me lnow

Man everything I look at on Etsy is mondo expensive compared to knowing where to look.

Guess I need to stop looking at the more interesting items in chain and leather.....

I thought about leaving that statement open for folks imagination but I participate in the SCA when I have the time.
..... Actually I havent had the time in years so I guess im retired from that organization lol.
