Well I can't see anything but the Oculus Go winning the Best Headset award, unless the judges are a bit dodgy
Just for transparency, I am one of the Judges!
I'd love Capcom to port Resident Evil 7 VR. Even a quick and dirty port using a gamepad only would have me happy.
It's important that we all understand that a shortlist like these are not just the "best" but also the most recognised entrants know between a panel of specialist that have varied interests. I am always wonder what the layman thinks the role of a judging panel is - rather than just create a list, they need to create a narrative of a sectors performance.
The list for VR game of the year seems pretty weak. The fact that Fallout 4 VR and Skyrim VR are at the top proves that Oculus should focus more on porting games. Imagine how much better FO4 VR and Skyrim VR could have been with more effort? Most of the games I play in VR are ports. Elite Dangerous, IL-2 BoS and Project Cars 2 are all ports and they account for the vast majority of my VR play time.
And how is Pixel Ripped in there? I didn't think it was out.
