OK something crossed my mind from way back when (2016) and i went looking for it.  It's either gone (why?) or i'm a numpty and can't find it.  So, please chat about this and post anything else you're wondering "whatever happened to..."  Doesn't need to be VR related - can be about Opal Fruits or the Austin Princess.

So, whatever happened to Mountain Goat Mountain?

Possibly the greatest VR game on any VR platform!    :D

A thread review is not the game!  It aint on the store any more.

Also, we (my mum) had a white Princess - brilliant car.  Sold it on in 87 for £450.

Reading on Zynga I think it may be back to purchase soon. It was a freebie for a while.

Yeah i remember everyone on here playing it because there was nowt else available when the Rift first came out.  Was fun for all the family!

I'm curious as to why it would be taken down.  Too violent maybe?   :D

So, whatever happened to Mountain Goat Mountain?

    Dear Players,

Thank you for being a valuable member of the Mountain Goat Mountain community. We loved delivering you a fun experience over the last few years.

We would like to inform you that the game will no longer be available to download in app stores and will only be available to play in offline/serverless mode starting on 2/20/18.  After that date, you will still be able to play the game normally because the game has been downloaded and saved locally on your device, but you will not be able to make in-app purchases, and if you delete the app from your device, you will not be able to download it again.

While we are no longer accepting payments for this game, you can continue to play Mountain Goat Mountain and use any coins you have in your account.

We hope you’ll check out some of our other exciting games here.

    Thanks for playing!
    The Zynga team

Yeah the Capri was cool! Reckon it still sorta is in fact

But seeing that Allegro again brings back memories of grandpa.. heh, he was the kinda old geezer who got his car rolling by pretty much flooring it while slooowly releasing the clutch. Remember one time the poor car literally caught fire as he drove away because the clutch was DESTROYED

Lol I had a Cortina in my early RAF days that was so knackered and clutchless, we had to push it then jump in, slam the gear in and then my mates could jump in before it went too fast. The brakes worked 50 percent of the time lol them were the days. My grandad had an old ford anglia. Loved that car :)

MK1 Escort is actually my favourite.  I was lucky enough to own one with a 2 litre Pinto, twin 45 Weber carbs, the works.

I still have MGM installed (on my phone, and I think also the Rift version), but I haven't played it in ages. I do recall noticing a while back that it had been pulled from the store.

    The likely lads?

My parents had a Morris marina complete with vinyl roof

We had a couple of Princesses when I was a kid, but that's not saying much because we had LOADS of different cars. My Dad used to be a mechanic so used to buy heaps, fix them up and sell them for a profit.

My Dad also used to fix other people's cars as part of his business. My claim to fame is that he fixed Kenny Baker's car once. He used to have wooden blocks on his pedals and a bloody great big seat cushion so he could drive it.

Also meant that I got a lift to school in a different car most days, the best of which was an awesome beach buggy which made me the coolest kid at school that day  B)

myt dad test drove a princess to replace the marina... iit was relatively luxorious but had water damage due to a leak.
ended up buying a fuego instead, which as a kid in single digits i loved because it "looked like a porsche 924"

My favourite car we ever had was an MG Spitfire, completely useless for a family of four so we didn't have it for long but it was a VERY cool car. Probably my Dad's favourite too I reckon.
