Unable to install Oculus Rift

When trying to install Oculus Rift on Windows 10, we agree to the license, but then get a message that the computer cannot contact the Oculus Server and only have a Quit option. We are not asked for any install location or anything before this error appears. We have disabled the Bullguard AV, Bullguard firewall and Windows Firewall, but without success. We have not actually tried plugging anything into the computer yet, since we're not sure what goes where! Is there anything we can do to get this to work?

Are you connected with WiFi? If yes, try to connect with an Ethernet Cable and see if it fixes the problem.
Another thing you could do is to run the app as administrator (after disabling your anti-virus).

As far as I know, I didn't need to plug neither the Oculus (1 hdmi and 1 usb 3.0) nor the two sensors (1 usb 3.0 each) so it shouldn't be needed.

You may have to uninstall Bullguard. I've seen a number of reports of that product conflicting with Oculus.
