Hi Oculus,

Can you give Cymatic Bruce the first one, so we can watch his videos again while we are waiting in the queue. It worked well last time.

Or me whichever you feel is right. :D

Agree - OVR needs to start supporting media, rather than just doing interviews.

Would also like to see cymaticbruce with an early dk2

He has done alot on youtube for VR especially much earlier in the dk1 days to get the message across as well as his many feeds and level of enthusiasm for oculus

I would imagine he is responsible for many of the earlier dk1 purchases as well, he is a great addition to vr :D
Look, man. I only need to know one thing: where they are.

In terms of subs, he's a good choice, but I don't like his content at all. Bruce is a great ambassador for VR. Just need to get him more subs.

I'd rather just get the first one. I never really understood the purpose of watching someone play a VR game on youtube. You don't get the same experience at all. Whatever floats your boat though, I guess.

I'd say it's the same as watching someone play any game on youtube. It's fun to see their reactions.

I love VR videos, but I hate it when the videos are not watchable in the Rift ... I just watched some Elite Dangerous, then Star Citizen Hangar and then a Templecoaster video ... all great looking in the RIft and it made me download Templecoaster. But those that are incompatible with the Rift are made for people without a Rift, so while I think Bruces videos are really cool, they are not my favorites.
They are nice to spread the word to the most important crowd though - people without a Rift ;)

I was on the fence about buying a DK1 until I saw a Cymatic Bruce video on youtube. His enthusiasm made me instantly go buy one for myself.

Now nine moths later I'm a full convert and writing and filming my own reviews. Shameless plug here http://www.virtualrealityreviewer.com/ :lol:

If he gets Rift Number 001 please send me Rift Number 002
Got a game in development or a cool piece of VR tech you want to show off? We are looking for demos, trailers and all things VR. Just send us a mail and we would be more than happy to feature it on our site.

  • Whelan I like your stuff but I believe in consensus and building community. Oculus doesn't need to dilute the reviews too much but I think maybe they should get 10 units together and send out to the 10 reviewers us people here vote for. Then 10 people can share that honor decided on by us the fans. What's not to like? Maybe even 1 random contest/draw to give a nobody a shot. Unification memes. Not division 1 winner take all memes.

Remember the breakfast club? It was about teamwork and friendship.

I nominate u for one of the slots Whelan.

U can't live just 1 goonie. U love them all. Bad guys too. Team!

mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4123 I am looking into that LEEP VR I lack practical 3d knowledge, I have found some good links, but I am not sure if they are the ones you were talking about. Would you mind direct linking me to them?

Cymatic Bruce's videos are watchable in the Rift.

That's a really nice thought getting Brucie one early, he did a lot to help promote the rift the first time round. His reviews were great and it would be a great nod towards his efforts :)

This might not be a popular opinion but it might be prudent for PewDiePie get a DK2 or an early CV1 when they're available.

Although some people dislike him (as discussed here) he has something like 23 million followers and many of his videos get 6+ million views.

Oculus has given away quite a few Rifts over the last year. Remember the grandmother getting excited from the Tuscany demo? Yep, she got an early Rift (even had one asshole on Reddit bitch about it). Look at all the HD prototypes that found their way into developer's hands.

I get the feeling if these YouTube reviewers just contacted Oculus as a business approach, they'd get early sets. No need to pick out one specific reviewer. I'd like to see most of the consistent reviewers to get DK2s early anyway.

    Wow.

Took some time to check out the forums, and found this heartwarming jewel.

Thanks for the support and kind words folks! And I love the feedback on my content as well - I do what I do for the community, and I am always trying to improve my content to fit the needs of VR devs and enthusiasts.

I can think of several devs that would be better suited for a DK2 before me, but I certainly wouldn't mind being high on the list.

    I second this.

Love your reviews, as I said your first couple of videos using the Rift made me go out and buy one in the first place as I was not believing the hype until I saw your real reactions.

O I added you and Rev VR to our links page http://www.virtualrealityreviewer.com/useful-links/ hope you don't mind.
