Merry Christmas!

Finally the kids are sleeping, and I just finished placing the presents under the tree. It kinda felt like a weird game of Tetris, but eventually I found room for them all o:)

BTW, for those having trouble finding the Christmas Spirit, I'd recommend 1+ hour of this:

Also had a lot of fun watching this somewhat old 3D movie for the first time with the wife (it's definitely not for kids). Lots of 3D pop-out effects, possible one of the best ever 3D movies - but I'm not sure it's a great idea being completely sober when watching

Merry Christmas to you all!

To quote the great Roger Mellie:

    Merry fucking Christmas. Bollocks.

     :D  :D:D

Hopefully @vannagirl has got all of my presents because she's running out of time! I, of course, have hers ready. I've tied a ribbon around my knob for her. It's only a small thing but it's the thought that counts, right? Right? :o:D:D:D<3

Bluddy typical - I just made a similar post, having not seen this one! :(
I don't see the problem - the more the merrier!  :D

We did have a great evening - there were 4 kids, ages 3 to 10, giving them access to their presents somehow felt like dumping a decaying cow carcass into a lake filled with starving piranhas  :o

Something must have gone wrong somewhere because I was expecting @vannagirl to drop off all the expensive presents she's bought me. Maybe she's got lost? I dunno. :(

Yea I've been eyeballing the steam xmas sale since they went live, (as well as GMG, Ubisoft, Epic, Microsoft and others lol). I've talked myself out of buying several games until I finish my backlog...but my fortitude is weakening lol.

    Also Merry Christmas

I'm starting to consider my backlog to be some sort of tasting menu - that is, I rarely finish anything instead I just enjoy a small bite and then move on  o:)

Btw, did try Doom Eternal - but the start is quite boring, feels like some sort of physical exercise with all this jumping around in small rooms - and then some hide'n seek finding the right way, yawn. I'm sure it'll get better - but Valve showed how to make a proper intro in Alyx.

Btw, Doom Eternal is so far running at solid 60 fps even with all settings maxed out (GTX 1080) - but I'm using the plasma TV with 1920x1080 (it has a special PC mode with 16 ms input lag).

Rage 2 was similar - solid 60 fps. Rage 2 probably would have be a top game if we got similar graphics in VR 90 fps, lol.

I've played like 10 min of each game, really hard for me getting along with a gamepad or keyboard/mouse. I do not feel immersed - I primarily play these games to see what all the fuss is about.

Same here, I was tempted to buy Boneworks, but I have many VR games that I haven't even started yet. I will not be buying anything from Steam in this sale. I might buy Wilsons Heart if Oculus have a sale, but that's about it. Merry Christmas to all.

The steam sale was my last minute emergency gift.  I couldn't find anything for some people, mainly because my lazy ass didn't even bother to look until delivery times were destroyed.  So steam was a good backup fall to option this year...

Merry Christmas everyone and let's hope that the New Year isn't going to be anywhere near as bad as this one was. They reckon that the Oxford vaccine is going to get approval here in the UK at the end of this year so that'll decrease the wait for a vaccine quite considerably. :)

Note that the Oculus Christmas Sale is available here:

In my phone app it's actually listed as a Christmas sale (but in Danish).
