Finally the kids are sleeping, and I just finished placing the presents under the tree. It kinda felt like a weird game of Tetris, but eventually I found room for them all

BTW, for those having trouble finding the Christmas Spirit, I'd recommend 1+ hour of this:
Also had a lot of fun watching this somewhat old 3D movie for the first time with the wife (it's definitely not for kids). Lots of 3D pop-out effects, possible one of the best ever 3D movies - but I'm not sure it's a great idea being completely sober when watching

Merry Christmas to you all!

Merry fucking Christmas. Bollocks.
Hopefully @vannagirl has got all of my presents because she's running out of time! I, of course, have hers ready. I've tied a ribbon around my knob for her. It's only a small thing but it's the thought that counts, right? Right?

We did have a great evening - there were 4 kids, ages 3 to 10, giving them access to their presents somehow felt like dumping a decaying cow carcass into a lake filled with starving piranhas

I count that as a blessing! Mrs Brix is downstairs, sweating over the cooker as I type, and some delicious aromas are floating back up! Yummy!
Best of all, when I jumped on the scales this morning I found that, despite it being the time of year when chocolate seems to make up most of our diets, I've jumped to the next stage of weight loss (having started at 113kg) and hit the 108's. Target is 90kg, but anything under 100 will be awesome.
Merry Chrimbo to all!

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2020!
Kinda annoying having to do time with the family delaying my important missions in Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond
Did buy some speedy presents for myself, like
Find your own gifts here - and kinda tiring with all this political correctness, of course this isn't a holiday sale, nor is it a winter sale - it is a CHRISTMAS SALE:
Doesn't look like Oculus is ready with their Christmas presents yet, maybe tomorrow

I'm going to repost my Medium Christmas pud because I'm very proud of it.
Merry Christmas everyone

I'm starting to consider my backlog to be some sort of tasting menu - that is, I rarely finish anything instead I just enjoy a small bite and then move on
Btw, did try Doom Eternal - but the start is quite boring, feels like some sort of physical exercise with all this jumping around in small rooms - and then some hide'n seek finding the right way, yawn. I'm sure it'll get better - but Valve showed how to make a proper intro in Alyx.
Btw, Doom Eternal is so far running at solid 60 fps even with all settings maxed out (GTX 1080) - but I'm using the plasma TV with 1920x1080 (it has a special PC mode with 16 ms input lag).
Rage 2 was similar - solid 60 fps. Rage 2 probably would have be a top game if we got similar graphics in VR 90 fps, lol.
I've played like 10 min of each game, really hard for me getting along with a gamepad or keyboard/mouse. I do not feel immersed - I primarily play these games to see what all the fuss is about.
