I am going to try asking one last time before I give upon this...
I have read many articles and blogs and everyone says that all you ave to do is press the record (see red dot) mess around and then take off the headset to stop recording.  Connect to the PC, copy over the file in the oculus video folder and there it is...only I CANNOT OPEN PLAY OR EDIT this file.  In premier, I get an error 'unsupported compression' which I messed with trying to fix for a couple of hours....tried converting but there is nothing that will even play this file.  (yes I tried VLC) I even spent a few hours trying to 'display on my PC monitor using adb for a while but that didnt work either.

Can anyone help?

Hey bb_engen, there is currently an issue with capturing the video on the Oculus Go headset. We've identified the root cause and it will be addressed in a future update. We don't currently have an ETA for the update though. In the meantime, there are a couple of workarounds that you can try. You can try disabling the WiFi on your headset after you finish recording and restarting the headset. After it restarts, please try playing the video on your PC. The second workaround is a little more involved and requires installing the Android Device Bridge to your PC and using the command line. Please contact support at https://support.oculus.com if you want detailed steps on trying this workaround. This thread https://forums.oculusvr.com/community/discussion/73315/video-codec-change also has info on the workaround. Thanks! -Rick
