Video of D&B 2 for the Quest and Rift S  ;)

A PC with lots of gadgets inside and a thing to see in 3D that you put on your head.

I know that Rift-S drama is taking center stage, but I am incredibly excited about this sequel. I looovved the first version, and this freedom of movement gives it the FPS edge it needed! Fantastic move with this beautiful software title.

Totally agree. One thing I'm worried about though is are we going to be playing the Quest version on PC, since it crossplays with Quest?

Dead&Buried with free movement? I'm sold!
Now I just hope there will be some sort of short-range attacks. Either punches or just a knife (Onward style!), just... something to avoid the need to use long-range weapon when the enemy is close.
    Current VR results imo:
    - Great small apps. Great ports of bigger games.
    - Great VR-specific features. Not enough showcased!!!
    - Too many actors in the industry, the market is totally broken.

My hopes for VR next gen:

    - Better ratio between visual quality and power needs. No more godrays and less SDE.
    - Full Body Tracking.

hmm....Just looks like yet another cartoony FPS.  Is there any STORY to it?

I wouldn't blame you with this kind of vanilla deathmatch. I would be a lot better if there was a single player campaign.

If it's just multiplayer, then you'll get some games soon after release then the lobbies will empty and the game useless.

And how many hours have you logged with the original Dead & Buried? It was the same deathmatch style only players could not move around freely. I logged over 100 hundreds and rarely, if ever, had to face an empty lobby. There's plenty of other deathmatch style FPS games that are quite successful on the market. I'm sure this will do just fine.

Looking forward to this, but given it's a Cowboy shooter what is that building? It looks rather empty, I would have liked to have seen more objects tbh. Maybe it's got better maps with more objects to hide behind. The first one had limited movement, but looked a hell of a lot better then this video shows.

I'll be using my Rift CV1 against Rift-S and Quest owners. Which means I'll be able to shoot behind my back with accuracy. Hopefully I can make some funny YouTube vid's exploiting the tracking superiority a bit lol.
That's fine, I'll just have to do a jumping 360 noscope on you from the Quest!

I used to watch people play The Division, I'd keep the videos up while I was writing software code. The best and most watched videos tend to involve camp spawning and bullying. And they often have over 1-million views, like this one:

I used to play PvP shooters alot, like Halo 1, Halo 2, and the first few BattleField games. They all did very well despite ultimately all being Death Match style mass repetition. The fun comes from the need to take down your enemy, not the need for a story or compelling objectives.

To me Dead & Buried 2 is like another great porn film, and you and DigiKid are all like, "but what's the plot and story??!"

@Zenbane - I really liked the first Dead & Buried with limited movement and hiding behind things. The only thing I didn't like was being able to stick you gun through a box, but the devs wouldn't fix that one killer bug so I stopped playing it. I hope Dead & Buried 2 has those maps still but with that terrible bug fixed.

That's what I'm worried about. It's cartoony and empty for the sake of Quest. If the PC version is the same then looks like we can expect to see more Quest based graphic fidelity on PC IF the game is released on both.

    Edit: Ok just saw this

Why do you care about full body tracking so much? It seems a nice add on but doesn't really add a lot to your gameplay other than in a conversation with someone or dancing.
