I Think It's Time For A Forum Code Update

As per the title. There has long been issues with the forum on mobile devices such as not being able to delete quote boxes once created and difficulties in pasting pictures.

There are also now issues creeping into desktop browser use. If using IE (I know, don't shoot me!) I can no longer like, awesome or LOL a post, I think this is since the last Windows 10 update.  If I switch to Edge, I have some problems with inserting pictures (no resizing capability) & also problems deleting quote boxes.

Is it possible to give the forum a thorough seeing to Oculus?

No. Absolutely not. You crazy fools.

If the forum is updated I'll lose the size of my e-peen which is currently the fourth largest on here. Considering the fact that my ker-nob in real life is VERY small I don't want my e-peen size to match, thank you very much.

Another fun issue that I've experienced, trying to access the forums on mobile:

The pages all come up completely blank, and only appear if I change my phone's orientation.  So every time I change a page I have to rotate it sideways and back, lol.

I am sorry, you seem to be using IE .....

There is help, you may call a support line that will guide through rehabilitation slowly and gently.

We advise you gently back away and burn IE down to ash, collect this ash, then blast it into space in the direction of the sun.

Also, Android Tablet ... um ...

    Love you really Daft :)

    I\ll pass it on.

The only reason I haven't started using Chrome is cos the forum behaves a little badly using it on my tablet.. never used Firefox. Maybe it's time!

You could always try Opera. It has a VERY small footprint so will be better to run on a tablet.

I am sick of trying to login into this forum with both Chrome and Opera. I remember weeks ago that an Oculus staff member (Can't remember his name) said it would be fixed soon. For login into a forum, this has to be the worst website I have ever come across on the worldwide web. For the love of God Oculus fix your damn website please. It can't be that difficult to fix login issues, I have not come across another site on the web that has these problems.

IE seems to be ok for logging in, at least for me.

So... I'll log in with IE.... like and lol people with Edge.... and everything else with Firefox. I think we have a solution.

@DaftnDirect -This should go into the Support section of the forum or as feed back otherwise it won't get answered by an Oculus member of staff.

@LZoltowski @Techy111 @kojack if you'd like to transfer this thread to support, that's good with me

Now all we need is an Oculus Staff member to answer this otherwise it's going to keep getting bumped. That's how sick I am of this, it's needed fixing for like months now.

It's already happened to Quill, they moved from this forum to a facebook page.

    Unfortunately. I think you're right.

There are currently 2.32 Billion Facebook users worldwide. From my limited experience with Facebook, many of the users struggle to get past selfie posting. Yet it seems that Oculus (leading edge) VR will be aimed at these masses to establish a huge Facebook (social) VR environment, with 1,000,000,000 members.

    I'm worried about 2 things.
    1. PCVR losing out to mobile VR and
    2. Those Facebookers who use Facebook like a drug.

The latter concerns me because so many people are constantly on their phones at restaurants, with (RL)friends and family. I can just imagine a table full of people with HMD's, using pass-through to eat, whilst being "social" with everyone except the people they are sat with.
    (mild rant over)
