Using Scrcpy to cast your Quest to a PC (and avoid the red dot)

If you've tried to cast your Quest to your phone or another device, you may have noticed a red dot in the (almost) center of your vision.  It's very jarring and kind of ruins the experience (IMHO, at least). -- So, I did some digging and came up with a workaround that allows me to cast my Quest to a Windows PC (which can then be plugged into a TV, etc.).

The script requires a little bit of setup, and that either: the device be on your same Wi-Fi network as the PC (and that the two be visible to each other) or: that the device be plugged into the PC via USB cable. -- The latter is less error prone, but more annoying (and is required for the very first time setup, until you've granted adb permissions).

My original tweet about the workaround can be found here: https://twitter.com/BrainSlugs83/status/1131594406560059392 -- in the video shown, I'm using my phone as a hotspot for both the laptop and the headset.
And the full source of the batch script / instructions can be found here: https://t.co/NSj4MaiLX2

I hope ... :
1.) ... that someday, they give us the option to disable the red dot (with a warning, or only in developer mode or something would be fine! -- people have literally been complaining about this issue for YEARS)
2.) ... that they eventually give us the ability to cast to other devices (such as a PC, or a Roku box).
3.)  ... that this post helps someone. 🙂
