Oculus Quest updates are queued for download, but not downloading?

Rec Room and Virtual Desktop both have updates available and I can't seem to get the download started. It just stays queued for download. I've completely removed them and am trying to reinstall them... same deal. They're just forever queued for download. I've also tried restarting the headset with no luck either.

Anyone else having this problem?

Also having this problem! Seems like it's been mentioned on reddit too: https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/bwxg8v/oculus_quest_updates_are_queued_for_download_but/

Is there any news on this yet? Making me super nervous that I will have to reset and lose ALL of my saves and settings!

Yeah, I also have a support ticket in for this since last night and haven't heard anything back yet.

Yeah, same issue for me, fortunately it seems to be widespread so hopefully they'll fix it soon. I had a similar issue with my Rift and after weeks of back and forth with support got the very helpful suggestion to reinstall my PC because they had no idea what was wrong.

Reinstall Windows is a lazy solution.

I'm having the same issue and it wasn't doing this earlier at the gym. I updated beat saber just fine.

I have the same issue, I purchased 2 games today and they are stuck on downloading. Also VRchat was trying to update and present in the downloading list.
When I stop the updates and specifically power off my device, then power it on after having seen the charging battery icon with headset off, It takes a really long time to load anything on the headset while waiting in the lobby.

After this to report back and taking off the headset, then putting it back on again it suddenly decided to boot as new and start "first steps"? Closing this app and then trying to go back to library still shows an infinite loading screen, trying to go to settings also does not work....

Because I only have beatsaber progress saved I will reset the device to see if this fixes the issues and will report back later.

So far resetting and re-downloading every game seems to work... I will report back when everything has been downloaded or if I run into the issue again.

Resetting and reinstalling all the apps seemed to work, I have a fully updated and functional headset with all my games at the moment.

Same issue here. Can't update or download on either of my Quests. Help, real reality is starting to set in... I need my virtual reality!

Well I have 39 games...that's not going  to be a viable option for me!
Hopefully someone at Oculus support/quality control will become aware of this problem soon!

We’re aware of an issue on Quest affecting download queues for some people, and we’re actively working on a fix. We’ll share more as soon as we can. Apologies and thanks for your patience.

I've had the same issue for the last 24 hours.  I have 3 apps pending an update and one app I purchased last night simply stuck in "download queued".  I agree with the others above that a full reset would force me loose all my progress on multiple games.  I'm very annoyed and feel it's odd nothing has been posted about this prior to finding this forum.

Yep. Same issue here. Been out for a while now. Games bought can't be installed, updated or downloaded.

The best thing to do is not buy anymore games until this situation is fixed.

I said screw it and factory reset. The only data I lost I cared about was my Robo Recall progress and unlocks and I'll survive. (which is bullshit. This thing needs cloud save backups standard like Steam) Works fine now. They better put out a system update quick.

It's been 3 days now and still can't update or download new games.  We shouldn't have to do a factory reset and lose everything to fix this.  :(

Ended up doing a factory reset to sort this out after two days of waiting for downloads to start. While this did sort the problem, it is frustrating

All my updates successfully downloaded last night... I restarted my Quest (again) and then it just worked as expected...weird but I'm good now.

Has anyone managed to get this fixed. Just bought 2 new games worth £40 and now I can’t play them, because they’re stuck queuing as I didn’t notice the issue beforehand

Don't update virtual desktop because you'll lose the pcvr streaming option. Facebook asked ggodin to remove steamVR streaming from the app.

I had the error come up again. I did a factory reset and it seems to not be doing it. I'm trying to duplicate the error for support and it's not happening. I think the headset got updated when I reset. Can someone that's still having the issue confirm if they have the latest software?

    copied from my support ticket:
Check the version of your headset and see if you are running version 256550.6170.5. You can determine this by opening the Oculus app from your mobile phone, then go to:
    • Settings -> Select your Quest device -> More Settings -> About this Headset - You will find your Headset Version
