Overlay for rendering horizon?

I was thinking of using a 2camera setup one for close up high res items (items that you interact with) where the camera would have a low far clip and one for the horizon/terrain etc. Is this achievable with OVR overlay?

    Apparently this can be done with a 2 camera setup one for the horizon with rendering set for skybox and lower depth lvl than the main camera, and one more for the near clip set to don't clear. 

    I tried it once and had forgotten to remove the skybox postprocess so I was getting weird results the first time I tried it -.-
