I have noticed that Oculus is always rendering what is directly behind you even if the 180 rotation option is off. I noticed this when the Oculus home application locked up and I turned around. For performance optimization it would be best if Oculus did not render this view when there is no possibility of it being needed. I get why the application would render this for a seamless transfer when the flip 180 option is on but it is unnecessary when the option is off. The environments that I render often have to share GPU resources with Oculus home so slimming it down as much as possible would be a big improvement for me.
