Remember the original Oculus Touch Basics app? Not the new
one where you dance with the robot, I’m talking about the original one set
against the gray background.
More to the point, I’m talking about this one:
It’s completely gone from my Oculus menu. Anyone here knows
how to get it back?
I looked for an answer online, but all I get are answers
that don’t seem to work any longer.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Well, what do you know – I am about to answer my own
question.
I also own an Index and I remembered I could see the app in my
ReVive apps list. So I hooked up my Index, launched Oculus Touch Basics from there and then traced the path of the open app using my Task Manager.
To anyone still interested in running the original app, on
Windows 10 you can launch it by running the following file:
C:\Program
Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-touch-tutorial\WindowsNoEditor\TouchNUX\Binaries\Win64\TouchNUX-Win64-Shipping.exe
It should look something like this:
Not sure why it was removed from the latest version of Oculus
library, but I find it useful – it allows me to take anyone who may be
struggling with the touch controls through a very quick tutorial, without
having to go through all the fanfare of the new version.
If this helps, pls like the post - I'm hoping it might help Google pick it up so others can benefit from this post
