As the title say, it would be useful that each member can add PC specs and have it under avatar in forum to display if pressed.
I have seen such on Asus ROG forums.

We used to have signatures but they got removed because some people/scammers abused it with adding links and such :(
A PC with lots of gadgets inside and a thing to see in 3D that you put on your head.

That is why i see some users have signature but some not and no way to add it, too bad. :/

I didn't realise the function had been removed for new members, it's such a useful thing for specs. Spammers really spoil it for everyone.

Does that mean existing signatures, if deleted, can't be replaced? Can existing signatures be edited? Do new users see existing signatures or none at all?

Because Oculus does not provide any useful feedback on problems that crop up with new software versions. If the users can see each other's specs, they can maybe look for similar devices with similar problems. A forum is, after all, a place for sharing information for the good of all.
Already it's hard to tell if people are talking about the Rift or the Rift S sometimes.

I edited mine a couple weeks ago when I added a new M.2 SSD to my system. I'm pretty sure people can still add signatures. I remember a mod discussion about limiting access due to spammers, but I think, if anything was done, it was like posting links--you have to be around and active for a while before the privilege is gained.

On your forum profile page, hit the little dropdown that looks a person's head to the right of your name, and choose Preferences. On that page, you should see Signature Settings on the right side menu. Go there to add a sig.

Wait, they removed signatures? Is that a joke? Wtf are they doing?! Next thing you know, they'll remove the ability to write replies...
    Current VR results imo:
    - Great small apps. Great ports of bigger games.
    - Great VR-specific features. Not enough showcased!!!
    - Too many actors in the industry, the market is totally broken.

My hopes for VR next gen:

    - Better ratio between visual quality and power needs. No more godrays and less SDE.
    - Full Body Tracking.

ok, so, I think we need confirmation on this one, whether it's a an anti-spam, post count issue for new members as per hyperlinks or something else.

    I'll make enquiries.

Ok yeah, I missed the memo! It's an anti-spam measure as @nalex66 posted above, so not quite a false alarm, but nothing to panic about.

Posters will get the facility to post hyperlinks and add signatures when their profile reaches a certain level of trust. Sorry to be a bit vague but it's probably best not to give spammers the specifics really.

For anyone who finds the permissions thing annoying, I understand. We were, however, getting to a point where spam was becoming really intrusive. So on balance, this is probably the best solution for now!

Yes i understand what you mean, i was here for some days and can detect that there are allot of trolls with new created profiles that have only one post, that one post is always pointed to some insignificant Oculus issue, it is like a group of trolls that see a issue of real user then they register and post the same thing allot of times from different profiles, by this method their job is to make it look that Oculus products have allot of problems and in the end those who want to buy such products will not buy based on this false problems created by trolls, in short they damage Oculus image of great products.
For example the issue with differrent versions of Oculus software on PC and Oculus Quest firmware which in reality is not a issue.
Also the issue with right controller stopping to work after one hour it can be a couple of cases and still be caused by user usage, i have hit my right controller a couple of times and it still works.
p.s. sorry for my poor English.

The spammers in question are not posting anything to do with Oculus problems, they were coming in and posting a bunch of links to pirated movies and other shady websites. It’s much more under control now, but a few months ago it was a real running battle to remove random illegal content and keep things focused on VR.

Yeah, the forum is becoming very busy so it's increasingly attractive to those wanting to advertise all sorts of stuff, the pirated movie poster in particular was unbelievably persistent.

As far as multiple complaint threads about Oculus go, it's probably different people and I'm ok with that, but it would be great if people search for topics and add comments to existing threads rather than create a new one each time. It's much more helpful to people who are looking for suggested solutions or just looking for possible common causes.
I've probably said this a lot in multiple threads by now so getting close to spamming, but for the right reason ;)
