Oculus Rift S screen is black

I recently changed up my setup for a bit, and now my rift is on a table next to my PC. I got a USB and display port extension cable, and both are pretty spotty in functionality. They go in and out of working and if I unplug and replug them it'll eventually stay working. This isn't the main problem though, as even when I'm just using the headset's normal cables there is still a problem, this is the main issue. I see the white dot to detect my face, and when I hover my finger over it I see it dissapear like it should when it detects my face, but the lenses stay black. When I put on the headset the lenses still stay off. I'm quite sure that the sun can't reach my headset where it is now, but I did stop using my rift for a few weeks after setting it up in it's new spot. Are my lenses burnt out, if not what's the issue. HELP
