Beta Fix For Oculus Rift Stuttering Issue Released

An apparent fix for the widely reported Oculus Rift performance issues introduced by the December update has been released on the Public Test Channel.

team has been able to identify and implement an update that they believe

Sorry but this beta update did not improve anything for me.  All it did was reintroduce the x plane 11 shutdown bug that was fixed way back with 1.36.  I still feel 1.38/1.39 had better performance than any +12.x version.

I did send oculus my log files yesterday so hopefully this will help.

I’m not really sure but I think the problem is associated with trying to combine the Quest Link into the Rift app.  I think oculus should have made a separate app for the Quest Link and left the Rift app separate/stable.

Have to say I am surprised there has not been more discussion about this problem, I know a number of users reverted back to an earlier build to avoid this issue, but this seems kind of serious, but not seeing as much mention.
