GTX 1080 vs 2080 graphics card

Had the Rift  S for a while now and just getting around to seting it up for the first time.  To take advantage of the better lenses and resolution do you think its worth it to move up to a 2080 card ( I do like the ray tracing that the 2080 offers)  Will sell my mint GTX 1080 founders edition.
Can I sell it on this forum?
Thank you

You already know used cards are not in demand even a very nice card like yours.

 I run the 2080Black on a Z390 mobo w/I7/8700, 32ram, 2- M2 drives......zero stuttering in any resolution.

Wait for the 3080 series expected in June - 2080 is max 30% faster than 1080.

The 2080 is a lot better than the 1080 on many points but your ray tracing is not one of them, no game to date takes advantage of that feature so far and for the price personally, I would keep my 1080 for a while longer till the 2080 goes down in price it won't be long, There's always something better coming out next year

It's against forum rules to attempt to sell anything on this forum (apparently).

I have to ask the question..... will you be changing your username every time you buy new hardware?
i5 6600k - GTX1060 - 8GB RAM - Rift CV1 + 3 Sensors - 1 minor problem
Dear Oculus, If it ain't broke, don't fix it, please.

A 1080 is "barely" faster than my 1070 TI which is why I bought it. Was $250 less

Agreed, 1080 is just 5% faster than 1070 Ti 8GB.

If I had a 1070 Ti 8GB I'd wait for Ampere too and not make a late jump to Turing.
