Hi,

How do I view cubemap (side-by-side cubic format) picture 6x1 or 12x1 (stereostopic) on Oculus Quest? I tried two pictures form below, but it is shown as an image cut into pieces, regardless if I use option 360, 360 3D, 2D, 180, 180 3D in gallery app of Oculus Quest.

    Hi,

I think Skybox Media Player has a video format like that, but I don't think it does still images if that's what you're talking about. I think it's called YouTube format, but Skybox is pretty good at automatically detecting video formats.

Skybox is awesome. I highly recommend it.

    Hi,

Thank you, but Skybox works only with videos and I am looking for something for static 360 images. So far I couldn't find any app to view them properly.

Has someone had already this problem? I couldn't find a solution on the Internet, but I heard that cubemap looks better on Oculus or on Gear VR.

Additional question: the reason I am asking above is that I read that cubemap 360 degrees panoramas are looking better than those that are equirectangular. Can you confirm that?
