Its time for that glorious SuperData information:https://www.superdataresearch.com/blog/superdata-xr-update/
Regarding the headline:
The Oculus Quest outsold the PlayStation VR in Q2 (177K vs. 155K) despite supply constraints. The PlayStation VR was the top-selling VR headset from Q4 2017 to Q3 2019, but this
is the second quarter (after Q4 2019) that the Quest has topped the
charts. The Quest (including future hardware updates) is expected to be
the top-selling VR hardware through at least the end of 2021 now that
Oculus has discontinued the Go headset to focus more fully on its
higher-end standalone device.
Obviously there were some raised eyebrows to that statement. Not only the issue that it was Quest only, and that Quest was in very short supply during the mentioned period. But the data that this was based on had actually said Quest and Rift-S sales!
There are a lot of questions about SuperData, but at least they give an observation to start a conversation rather than being a accurate chart of progress.
