Virtual Desktop isn't included with the Rift S correct?

I just received my Rift S and was playing around and noticed there is a Virtual Desktop button in the task bar. I selected it and my desktop came up and I was able to pull up a youtube video. I tried something else and it didn't work, I just forget what it was at the moment. The question is do I still need to purchase Virtual Desktop so I can play non vr games on my headset?

Nope you can use the Oculus version to see anything on your PC's display on a big screen. But it's worth buying Virtual Desktop so that you can watch VR Porn videos.

Apparently. So a friend has told me.

If you're talking about playing your non-VR games on a big virtual screen then either one will do the job, but if you want to convert non-VR games into VR games then you'll need to buy VorpX and results vary from game to game.

So no difference between what's included with Oculus and the paid version?
I'll check out VorpX. Have you used it? I love that Portal 2 is supported.

There is a version of a virtual desktop built into the oculus dashboard.  But it is not as fully featured as the program called Virtual Desktop that you can buy.
There is also 'Big Screen' which is free, it's a little bit different but worth checking out.  It's ideal for video watching alone or in a party.

For the quest you can run your Steam VR games wirelessly via the paid version.

I was checking out Bigscreen today and it was pretty cool. I was trying out Kodi since my movies are stored on a different computer. Unfortunately it looks like HDR isn't supported because when I tested out my favorite scene in Black Panther 4K the scene was super bright and saturated.

More features in the paid version such as being able to select your environment for the big screen, being able to curve the screen and of course watching VR Porn. Apparently. So a friend has told me.
