Anti-virus replacing valid certificate for Echo VR

Alecksss
Sightseer
i was greeted with an error message saying "certificate validation failed" on echo vr. it suggested to turn off my anti-virus software (malwarebytes and windows defender) so i did, but still no luck. Since then i have completely deleted malwarebytes and tried again, installed norton and tried again, turned off norton and windows defender and tried again, made exclusions of all oculus related software in my anti-virus and tried again. but none of these have fixed the problem. i have also uninstalled and reinstalled both oculus and echo numerous times but no fix. can anyone suggest anything??
