Friends and I all run into similar issues everyone here is having after the updates 23.
  • Tracking issues. Lost track or get locked out(tracking lost) upon putting on the headset. Controllers went flying off into virtual space.
  • Black screen occasionally.
  • Shutter/Lag
Had the Oculus upon launch and had been working flawlessly(very happy, very impressed, and sold my G1 reverb and the rift). If we could revert back to the last update in the meantime, and enjoy it on Thanksgiving.

No - just like firmware for your phone there's no way back.
Intel i7 7700K (4.5 GHz); MSI GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Gaming X (oc 2100 MHz gpu boost, 11 GHz mem speed); 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200 MHz; MSI Z270I Gaming Pro Carbon AC (VR-Ready) mainboard; Samsung 960 Evo M.2 SSD + Toshiba P300 HD; Windows 10 OS; Valve Index and Oculus Rift CV1 - the latter nearly always using super sampling 2.0.

I don't think there is a way to revert. Best bet is to wait for a patch update hopefully before the next major update!. Report it to oculus support as well or you're just howling to the moon otherwise
