Issues occuring

2 Questions for the forum.

First of all, I have a motherboard that is out of date therefore I dont have a USB type C port. Had to use a converter so my question is does this effect performance levels considering the fibre optic nature?

Second issue is, I have an i7 6700 - 2060 RTX and when i connect through link cable, my CPU is getting maxed out which is leading to the quest freezing entirely

Is there an alternative solution apart from the obvious? (also are the 2 issues connected somehow) or am i being an idiot?

your better off using a usb 3.1 type a to type c cable 

link "vr" is intensive so you problay need to close any apps and any additional load on the cpu/gpu.
