alone at sea kon tiki demo (Update DK2, 0.4.1)

Alone At Sea.
Float on a raft and experience the solitude and isolation of an open ocean.
Explore the raft from the famous Kon Tiki expedition.
Climb the ladder into the crows nest.
Turn on the radio for appropriate background music.

UPDATE (August 12, 2014):
DK2 version now available for Windows and Mac, SDK 0.4.1.

Notes: there seems to be issues with positional camera location and in-game player height. Pressing "r"
will center camera and may alter player scale depending on where your camera is mounted.

I noticed when looking around its a little jittery, like the positioning keeps snapping back a little but when i'm perfectly still no issues or if i use the mouse no issues either, also the supplied devkit dk2 world demo is silky smooth so my unit is functioning correctly. Does anyone else notice this too on this showcase? Is it a unity thing perhaps? or just me?

Anyway other then that nice demo.

Just tried this (along with RedofPaw's Ghibli stuff) and they all exhibit a problem for me.

When I rotate, I don't rotate on the spot - I rotate around an invisible point in front of me which seems to be an invisible Unity player controller. In the cabin where you start, I can feel it colliding with the pole in front of me.

I've not seen anyone else mention this, so I'm not sure what's going off, but my camera position is definitely offset from the player controller. I've tried launching the demo with the Rift on my head and correctly in place for the positional tracking (in case something weird was going off there), but no luck. RedofPaw's Totoro demo does exactly the same thing, which has me well confused.

Is it normal for the graphics to studder everytime I look around? When I move forward, things are clear but as soon as I start to look around in 360, all the graphics start shaking. I have gtx 770, i7, 16gm ram. Not sure what is going on. None of the other demos do that. Thoughts?

EDIT: I changed to DIRECT RIFT mode and it ran smoothly.

That was beautiful. Thank you so much for this. What was the name of that song on the radio? Very beautiful. I think I've heard it before. From a movie or series I think.

EDIT: Nevermind, found it. Castaway soundtrack.

I believe this issues is caused by backing up without recentering the camera. Pressing R to recenter should fix this, though that involves getting close to your keyboard, which can put you too close to the camera again.

A controller button to recenter would be very welcome.

I've got a rather unusual setup which sets me back about 5ft from the camera, so getting too close isn't a problem. Will give the 'r' to recenter a go (I thought I had, but quite possibly didn't).
