Hi Jason,
Noticed new bugs after upgrading from 0.6.8 to 0.7.0 (upgraded to 0.4.2 SDK and new firmware before trying, running Win 7 64):
- extended shows just black in the window on the monitor and in the DK2. No MaxVR logo and if I load any video, I hear the sound, but there is no output, not even the fast forward bar.
- this is worrisome, because direct mode is still as spotty as it used to be for me, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Switching to extended and back might be part of the problem there. Got it to work once, but noticed vsync trouble. Didn't try switching aero off though ...
- 360 panoramic screen works for me in 0.6.8, in 0.7.0 the picture is stretched to 180 degrees instead, the back half of the view remains black.

So i bought this but have several issues:
1. No sound from any videos. Playing mostly m4v. Not sure why there is no sound, no one else seems to be having that issue.
2. Jutter on directso I enabled extended, but...
3. I can see the start menu and the top of the window in extended, since it's not really full screen. Creates bright edges on the top and bottom of my screen.
Ugh... Still waiting for a good 3D player. Finally this one has good fps, but so many other issues...

Hi Carandiru, any chance of some 'look-at' type controls? I'm finding some problems with my windows cursor being off display and if I try to click anything it minimises or un-focuses the MaxVR window.

I get what looks like light screen tearing across video. Looks like about twelve to fifteen lines across the screen during playback. It's not static and moves up and down as the video plays. It's related to head tracking as it moves with the HMD around the screen and even twists slightly with head movement. Do not see this effect with other VR movie players like Riftmax or Whirligig when playing the same files so it's definitely VRMax that's the issue.
Every VR video player out right now has some kind of issue unfortunately. Still trying to find that one that plays 3d video well without little annoyances like this. This is still the best player of the bunch though as the others give me audio issues with some of my videos. Riftmax is a cool social toy, but none of my full length movies will play in it, VR Player is difficult to get looking good, and Cinevo is...Cinevo.

Uh  Since latest 0.4.2 runtime and 2.12 firmware was step back in performance in my case(and many others) I reverted back to 0.4.1 and 2.11 and now MaxVR doesnt detect Rift.... 😐
EDIT: Nevermind, I updated runtime to 0.4.2 but left 2.11 firmware on Rift...now it works
EDIT2: But I am getting stuttering/frame droping now

I have set extended mode to 1 in MaxVR.ini, but it will still render the program on my main monitor only.
