    The Unity packages are under "Engine Integrations" lower on the page:

    I did a little more research, and as far as I can tell, there is no support for 0.7 in Unity yet. We have to wait for Unity themselves to upgrade to the new SDK, and then for a new Unity Utilities which supports that, is that right?

    Unity is not on the 0.7 SDK yet but, if you use the latest files, they are compatible with the 0.7 Runtime.

    I have Unity 5 and 0.7 working just fine together now.

    I just jumped to page 10, So I am running windows 10, gtx titanx in sli, I switched sli off and still cant get my rift to work, any work arounds? thanks.

    Do you have the specific nVidia driver needed to make the Rift work? What is the problem you are experiencing?

    I too have the same problem but with Nvidia 980ti gtx.. i can see the demo just fine but nothing works, not even apps built with 0.7. Do i need some switch to make sure the correct display is selected? It appears the primary monitor (out of 2) is always selected no matter what I do. I checked windows display props, no joy there the oculus doesn't show up (like it is intended). I have ran just the oculus, no monitors and I can get Virtual desktop to work albeit with 1fps but at least it displays. I know its not the rig setup what else can it be?

    I can't get the Rift to work under Windows 10. The moment the driver is active and the runtime is activated, my rift turns on (blue light) and my desktop monitor switches to a second monitor. There seems to be no standby for the rift (orange light). 970 with latest nvidia drivers. Tried uninstall and reinstall etc. nothing helps. Any idea?

    I just downloaded and installed 0.7 on Windows 10, when I opened the demo scene i was getting less than 1 fps, I tried to stop the OVRservice and restart it but that did not work.
    After I restarted the PC and opened the demo scene it worked perfectly. But when I closed it down an started it again I got 1 fps. It's only after I've restarted my PC that it seems to work once, same goes for Euro Truck Simulator.
    Does anyone else have this problem?

    I haven't heard a single person get 0.7 to run on Windows 10 on a laptop. As far as I know, it doesn't work.
    I haven't tried windows 10 for that (I only have it on my desktop), but 0.7 works fine on my 980M based laptop in windows 8.1.

    (Actually it installs easier, my desktop complains a ton about oculus installing (but still works), the laptop installed 0.7 without complaint. Both systems have trouble installing nvidia's recent few drivers. Older drivers are fine, the vr drivers for win 10 desktop and win 8 mobile fail every time if I don't boot into safe mode to install).

    Just wanted to pipe in with a bug report. With my DK2 on Windows 10 I get around 0.5 fps on everything I try: demo scene (desk and lamp), IPD calibration utility, janusvr, etc.

    Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (fresh install)

    Update: Got it to work smoothly once, directly after rebooting. After that, same situation as before. After closing the demo scene, I have artifacts in the rift display (looks like sideways stripes of the video framebuffer).

    There are a ton of errors in the event log, many related to:

    [HMD] WARNING: LED state change unverified!

    Before i install Runtime 0.7, everything was working fine.
    games like Alien isolation, project cars, euro truck sim 2, ect...
    With Rubtime 0.7 nothing works.
    VORPX wont work in direct mode.
    So i re install Runtime 0.6.

    I'll add my voice to yours. Few things are compatible right now, but everything that I've tried so far has been glorious.

    SLI needs disabling otherwise nothing works (Win 10, dual GTX 970s). That's it though, everything else just does what it's supposed to.

    I have one issue in Euro Truck Simulator 2, where the right eye flickers briefly to black in the in-game menu at random intervals. It is perfect when driving around though. That, so far, is the only unexpected problem I have encountered on 0.7.

    Probably placebo, but it feels like the latency is lower too. I notice it most when absent-mindedly bobbing my head to music while wearing the Rift. Previously this made the world lurch in an unconvincing manner as if it were slightly out of sync with my head movements, but it seems much improved now.

    There is a bug which stops the DK1 from being properly detected on 0.7. I'll have to see if this can be fixed.

    Just wanted to share that 0.7 Runtime is working fine on my 2013 Retina MacBook Pro (it has NVIDIA GT 750 M and Intel) on Windows 10 using NVIDIA 355.84 driver on DK2 even though I believe this computer has Optimus.

    so i installed 0.7 on my windows 10 pc with the latest nvidia driver 355.84.. and basically none of my demos or anything work... is this the case for anyone else? I should say that the current exception is "7 nanocycles" Do all the old demos need to be updated to work for 0.7 runtime?

    Specifically nothing made using an sdk before 0.6 will work anymore, they will all need to be updated by their authors (which has varying amounts of difficulty depending on how they made it).

    Of course that's to be expected, and when the next SDK comes out there's a good chance that games/apps will need to be updated as well. We're still in development after all. Lots of work left to be done.

    Hi everyone, having a right shocker with Windows 10 and Oculus Runtime 0.7. I've upgraded to Windows 10 so need to update runtime. I completely uninstalled the current runtime, then tried to install the new one. But I'm getting the following error during install:

    [LauncherService] Cannot start installed service: StartService failed. LastErr = 1056

    I click OK and installation finishes but the rift is not working. There's no icon in the system tray. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone know how to fix it?
  • I thought with the direct mode only for 0.7 there would be no more issues with apps not starting on the rift?

    Installed the updated SDK today and started sightlines and it started on my primary monitor and not the rift.

    Fortunately I have had absoluetely no issues with running runtime 0.7 on Windows 10. Games work a treat (unless built with previous versions). It feels a lot more stable! If only the older games and demos ran natively without having to downgrade the runtime.

    No idea where to post this question but can anyone help me source a new cable that goes into the dk2 sensor my pets managed to ruin it, and I don't know if its a generic cable i can buy online anywhere or if it's Rift specific?
