Same boat here, with order number 049xxx and received 'Your Oculus Order is About to Ship' email yesterday....but still in Ready status.
It would be nice for it to turn up before weekend, but I don't expect it will...

I would be surprised if it even goes to "processing" by the weekend.
I finally got my rift! (i'm in melbourne). Been waiting since October 2012, I feel like a much calmer person now :P
First impressions - it rocks! The screen door effect is noticeable, but doesn't bother me too much or diminish the fun (although better resolution would be pretty sweet!)
So far I tried tuscany, roller coaster, alone in the rift, and some Japanese cartoon "porn" game (although it's not actually porn, unless I'm meant to interact with the characters, which I couldn't work out how to do).
Tuscany is my favorite so far, followed by roller coaster. I thought I'd like the space games best, since I'm a space nerd, but the "blackness" isn't convincing (yes, I tried playing with contrast and brightness). Also, I didn't get a sense of scale in "alone in the rift" - the earth looked like a big ball infront of me, but didn't feel like the size of a planet. Maybe that's just me.
So, in my experience, games that are bright and full of light (like Tuscany) work much better than dark backgrounds. Does anyone else find that? I'm guessing that's just a personal thing
Anyways, I can't wait to start one of the project I have lined up for the rift, I'll make something bright and cheery so the missus can enjoy it (she hates horror)

"I love the French language. I have sampled every language, French is my favourite - fantastic language, especially to curse with. ..... It's like wiping your arse with silk, I love it." - The Merovingian
Any one based in Brisbane there is a meetup scheduled for August 4. http://www.meetup.com/Game-Technology-Brisbane/events/126359082/ . Dealing specificly with the rift and programing challenges. There will be at least one rift there, and with this new "processing" frenzy that seems to be rolling through OZ there may be a number on hand to check out various demos etc.
There are some fairly talented folks there, i encourage any one interested and in the area to attend.

Hailing from Adelaide, just went to processing, order 049xxx
Now I'll just need to call in sick at work to be available for delivery...
I'll let my patients play heart surgeon simulator if they're worried about my absence
Also arrived today. (Now I'm just waiting for the work day to finish so I can go home and discover all the subtle mathematical mistakes I've put in my rendering code!)
People who are receiving theirs today.. Does it still say processing on your /sales? and also how many days did it take from processing to actually having the oculus at your front door? :P

EDIT: Never mind, just got it. Sent via EMS - Hong Kong Post. Sent 12/07/13. Received today 15/07/13 @ 2.30pm
