I'm all out of options already for this thing. I used it for about 20 minutes and it was pretty damn sweet, much better than the DK1 / DK 2. It seems like you have the same tinkering issues as you did with the previous devices to get it to work though.
All items are connected and the oculus home shows connected. However I do not have any display, the light stays orange. I rebooted over and over, I removed the monitor cable. I switched the monitor cable to where the rift is plugged in to ensure that port is working. All is working on the PC but the display for the rift. I have plugged and unplugged the usb - like I said everything says its working.
I'm giving up because sure its a CDN $950 device, but I've had this thing for almost 12 hours now and was able to used it for maybe 25 minutes. I think my time is going to become more valuable if this continues.
I tried another PC and same thing.

Well, that actually happened with DK1. We had one customer literally get 3 (yes, 3) dead DK1s in a row. Needless to say, I personally tested the 4th one to make sure it was absolutely perfect before sending it out. Hopefully, that won't happen in this case.

Rift shipped on the 11th of April
Took me about ten days (including two day waits for email replies) till the 22nd to prove the trouble was in the Rift
Took another five days to get the shipping label, plus another two before I could ship on Monday May 4th.
Just realized it was a ground shipping label, which will take another week.
Probably another week for them to test the unit before they send a new Rift.
Then another week or more of shipping time, if they go ground shipping again which will also add even more time going thru the boarder.
So the process will be over six weeks, which is unacceptable.
I offered to pay for another Rift if they could send it out now, and reimburse me when they receive the RMA. I will see how that goes.
