Hey
I installed yesterday my Oculus Rift on my PC. It works just fine.
But when i try to download and install something from the shop, it just won't work.
The download starts and then it just stops randomly at some point.
I get a notification which says that the installation did not work and i have to contact the support.
It doesn't matter what i try to download or how many time i try, It happens always.
Rebooting the system doesn't help.
I'm still running my system with Windows 7 Pro 64Bit.
Do i have to upgrade to Windows 10 to solve this?
Any ideas?

So we have here users that can't downlod and install stuff from the offical store and they have no solution. Good job
We are getting the same error when trying to install any app.
This is the log I'm getting on AppData/Local/Oculus/Service_date_time.txt :
So far I've tried uninstall + reinstall (soft, didn't manually delete registry keys or anything), setup repair, then tried copying the DLL mentioned below around to system32 so it would be in PATH, no luck
I'm going to attempt a Windows system restore to before I first installed anything for the Oculus, and then start over from there. I had driver issues during my first setup, but the hardware works great now!
The suspicious logs follow for installing Oculus Dreamdeck from the store. I've tried this repeatedly with similar results. I'd be happy to attach my whole Oculus log zip if anyone would be interested in digging in, but I'm hoping this will just attract anyone searching for a similar message.

First with downloading games, I wasn't able to download anything until I downloaded the C++ 2015

The Oculus Dreamdeck worked now, but when I tried to play Henry or the Discovery VR nothing would play and download was glitchy. The log files were pretty vague:
"System.NullReferenceException" Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at "OVRLibraryService.IPC.FastIPCConnection`2
But I found the solution here:

As soon as I downloaded and installed everything works finally (2 downloads thus far) !
